Free Testing and Quotations
We offer free testing and quotations for most makes of vehicles. If you need assistance diagnosing a problem with your vehicle or simply advice on way forward; just drop by and we will test your vehicle and provide a quotation.
Exchange Gearbox and Diff Stock
We carry a wide range of gearbox and diffs in stock. Our reconditioned units have been built and quality checked by our experienced mechanical technicians. We offer same day service for most exchange units fitted with a 6 month guarantee.
Manual Gearbox Repairs
We specialise in the repair and reconditioning of manual gearboxes. Only quality parts are used to maintain our standard of quality and ensure peace of mind. All repairs are fully guaranteed.
Diff Repairs
We specialise in the repair and reconditioning of all makes of differentials for SUV, Bakkies, 4x4 front and rear differentials, local or import differentials, Taxi’s and front wheel drive vehicles. We only fit genuine parts and work is fully guaranteed. We offer same day service for diff exchange and repairs.
Supply and Fitment of Clutch Kits
We only fit quality known brand clutches i.e.: SACHS LUK VALEO. And offer 12 months guarantee on clutches supplied and fitted. Same day service offered for most makes of vehicles.
Supply and Fitment of Side Shafts and Wheel Bearings
We stock a wide range of side shafts and wheel bearings for most makes of vehicles and bakkies i.e.: Toyota, Isuzu, Hilux. We pride ourselves in the service we offer to the taxi industry and fit genuine side shafts and wheel bearings at very competitive rates.
Propshaft Repairs and Balancing
Propshaft repairs and balancing done, ranging from small replacement of universal joint to full propshaft overhaul. Single and two piece propshafts repaired and balanced with same day service. We keep Hi-ace and Quantum propshafts in stock to ensure quick exchange and fast service delivery.
Automotive Machining
Automotive machining is essential in our trade to keep costs to a minimum and to ensure quality workmanship.

Founded by Bob Hart and his late wife Diane, Gearmaster specialises in the repair and supply of reconditioned exchange gearboxes and differentials for most makes of vehicles.
